Description of proposed observations. The spectrum of polarization for a number of AGN of diverse type will be observed with the FOS spectropolarimeter. Targets include a Seyfert galaxy and a BL Lac object. These observations must be completed before the corrective mirrors of COSTAR are placed in front of the FOS entrance apertures. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4. Justification of need for HST observations. The ST is needed to do spectropolarimetry below 3000A. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5. Description of special scheduling requirements. Blazars are so rapidly variable that any observation must be completed within a few hours.
