Test Data and ScriptWe have assembled a data set to test an aXe-2.0 installation as well as to provide a practical introduction on how to work with aXe. The grism data distributed here is a small subset of the data collected within the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF) HRC Parallels program. The prism test data was taken as part of the calibration proposal 10391 (PI: S.S. Larsen). The actual data is accompanied with a small PyRAF script which automatically performs the data reduction with aXe-2.0. After the spectral extraction, a single object spectrum is (automatically) compared with a reference spectrum. We recommend running this test to validate a new aXe-2.0 installation.
Please unzip and untar the files. Then follow the instrcutions given in the README.
