Spectra of
21 planetary nebulae in NGC 5128 (Centaurus-A) taken with FORS2 on the VLT.
Multi-object spectra taken with the multi-slit mode of VLT
FORS2 of
planetary nebulae in the nearest giant elliptical galaxy NGC 5128.
Although there are only 18 slitlets, 21 planetary nebulae were detected.
The strongest lines around the centre of the spectrum (wavelengths
increase from left to to right) are [O III]4959 and 5007A.
An extracted spectrum of the bright planetary nebulae catalogued
as 5601 by
Hui et al (ApJS, 88, 423, 1993) is
shown. The [O III]4363A electron
temperature sensitive line is detected.

High resolution combination of WFPC2 images of Orion nebula
Fifteen archive images in four filters ([O III], H-alpha, [N II]
and narrow V) of the core of the Orion nebula (NGC 1976) (see
O'Dell & Wong, AJ, 111, 846, 1996) were combined using the
drizzle
tecnique of image combination to produce a mosaic with a resolution
of 0.1'' over the whole field. The images are available on request
(FITS files 100Mbyte each).
